Job :

We are looking for a dynamic and competent Porter to join our Accommodation Department at UIR Hospital.

He/She will be responsible for transporting and accompanying patients within the establishment (rooms, operating rooms, technical platforms, imaging), while respecting safety rules, hygiene, patient comfort, confidentiality, and dignity. He/She will also be responsible, when necessary, for transporting the deceased to the mortuary.
 

Responsibilities:

- Transport patients in wheelchairs or beds between different departments: consultations, imaging, laboratory, operating room...
- Ensure the patient is comfortably and safely settled before and during transport
- Ensure respect for the person and their dignity during transfers
- Verify the patient's identity, confidentiality, and the transport file before each transfer
- Handle and transfer patients (bed-stretcher, stretcher-examination table) following ergonomic rules
- Participate in the transport and care of the deceased to the mortuary, respecting dignity and current procedures
- Apply hygiene and bio-cleaning rules for transport equipment (stretchers, wheelchairs)
- Report any anomaly or incident involving the patient during transport to the nursing team
- Participate in the management and maintenance of stretchers and transport equipment (checking, basic maintenance)
- Immediately report any breakdowns to the technical department
- Provide regular feedback to management
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the service
- Know basic emergency gestures and care (AGFSU)

Required profile :

• High school diploma (Baccalaureate level)
• Porter certificate; AFGSU training (Certificate of Training in Emergency Gestures and Care) recommended
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role
• Patient handling and transfer techniques
• Knowledge of hygiene and bio-cleaning rules
• Basic emergency gestures and care (AFGSU)
• Familiarity with the establishment's premises and circuits
• Use and maintenance of transport equipment
• Adherence to procedures for transporting the deceased
• Good communication and listening skills with patients
• Discretion and respect for patient dignity
