Created in 2003, under the supervision of the Ministry of Agriculture and Maritime Fisheries, the Royal Society for the Encouragement of the Horse (SOREC) has for main missions the supervision of breeding, the development of horse racing and the management of horse racing games in Morocco.

By virtue of its mission, SOREC ensures the supervision of racing societies, supports breeding programs as a partner of breeder associations and ensures the improvement of national horse racing infrastructure.     

In addition to this, SOREC is engaged in a policy aimed at improving the competitiveness of Moroccan breeding and revitalizing the horse market.

SOREC covers the entire country with 5 stud farms, 43 breeding stations and 11 equine breeding promotion centers in addition to numerous collaborations with the main equine associations in the kingdom.

Job :

Reporting to the Head of the Veterinary Genetic Analysis Laboratory, your mission will be to ensure the execution, control, and validation of genetic parentage analyses by molecular biology, in compliance with scientific protocols, quality requirements, and laboratory safety standards, while contributing to the continuous improvement of the laboratory's analytical methods and technical processes.

To this end, your main activities will be:

• Perform identification and parentage control analyses using molecular markers
• Ensure analytical monitoring of samples from their reception to the issuing and sending of results
• Verify the conformity of samples and analytical data
• Control the quality of results obtained at each stage of the analytical process
• Validate analyses and transmit results to management for final approval
• Ensure compliance with laboratory procedures, protocols, and safety standards
• Participate in the maintenance and upkeep of laboratory equipment and tools
• Identify anomalies, malfunctions, or quality deviations and propose appropriate corrective actions
• Guarantee the traceability and reliability of the analyses performed
• Write and update protocols, procedures, and technical documents
• Participate in the design and optimization of new analytical methods and techniques
• Process and analyze statistical data related to laboratory activities
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of analytical processes and laboratory performance
 

Required profile :

As a potential candidate:

- You have a Bac +5 (Master's degree) in Biology, Biotechnology, Genetics or a recognized equivalent diploma with practical experience in molecular biology and genetic analysis, particularly within a molecular biology, genetics, or biomolecular analysis laboratory.
- You have mastered molecular biology and genetic analysis techniques;
- You have the ability to define and adapt analysis procedures and methods;
- You have mastered laboratory equipment and IT tools;
- You are capable of diagnosing technical anomalies and proposing suitable solutions
- You demonstrate an ability to conduct rigorous, precise, and detailed analyses.
- You show reactivity, rigor, and excellent interpersonal skills, while being proactive and having a strong sense of organization;
