Created in 2003, under the supervision of the Ministry of Agriculture and Maritime Fisheries, the Royal Society for the Encouragement of the Horse (SOREC) has as its main missions the supervision of breeding, the development of horse racing and the management of horse racing games in Morocco.

By virtue of its mission, SOREC supervises horse racing companies, supports breeding programs as a partner of breeder associations and ensures the improvement of national horse racing infrastructure.     

In addition, SOREC is committed to a policy aimed at improving the competitiveness of Moroccan breeding and boosting the horse market.

SOREC covers the entire country with 5 stud farms, 43 breeding stations and 11 equine breeding promotion centers, in addition to numerous collaborations with the main equine associations of the kingdom.

Job :

Reporting to the Accounting and Financial Department, your mission will be to contribute to the reliability and compliance of accounting and tax information, by ensuring the monitoring and control of accounting activities as well as by participating in closing and reporting work. As such, your main activities will be:

General Accounting 

-Ensure the monitoring and control of accounting processes in accordance with internal procedures
.

- Analyze and monitor fixed assets (fixed asset register, accounting and physical inventory). -

Ensure the justification and consistency of accounting accounts. -

Check regular bank reconciliations. -

Supervise the monitoring of subsidiary accounts (customers, suppliers, staff, State). -

Ensure the monitoring of depreciation and associated entries. - Participate in the preparation of financial statements.

- Contribute to monthly, quarterly and annual closing work.

- Ensure the monitoring of provisions, accrued expenses and accrued income.

Taxation 

-Participate in the preparation and control of tax and para-tax declarations:
VAT;
Withholding tax;
Corporate tax;
Professional tax;
Other taxes and duties.

-Ensure compliance with tax and regulatory deadlines.

-Control the tax compliance of the company's operations.

-Ensure the monitoring of tax controls and audits.

-Contribute to the preparation of responses to requests from the tax administration.

Closing and Reporting

-Participate in periodic accounting closures.

-Contribute to the development of summary statements and financial reports.

-Participate in the establishment of tax packages and annual declarations.

Control and Compliance 

-Ensure compliance with accounting and tax procedures.

-Contribute to strengthening the internal control system.

-Ensure the availability and traceability of accounting and tax documents.

-Assist the work of statutory auditors, internal and external auditors.

Responsibilities 

-Guarantee the reliability and consistency of accounting information.

-Guarantee the tax compliance of the company.

-Ensure compliance with closing and declaration deadlines.

-Ensure the quality and availability of accounting supporting documents.

-Identify and report accounting and tax risks. 


Required profile :

As a potential candidate:

- You have a Bac+5 (Master's degree) in Accounting, Taxation, Finance or equivalent with a minimum experience of 5 years in a similar position.

Required skills:

-Good ability to analyze and interpret financial data;

-Mastery of the principles of general accounting, taxation and analytical accounting;

-Ability to produce reliable analyses and relevant summaries;

-Rigor, sense of organization and respect for deadlines;

-Team spirit, commitment and ability to work cross-functionally.
