Job :

Ensure the governance, quality, and distribution of master data via SAP MDG, by designing and deploying governance processes (change requests, workflows, validations) and by securing integration with the SAP/third-party ecosystem.

Main missions:

• Data Governance Design & Deployment:
• Define/optimize the end-to-end MDG process: change request submission, checks (errors/duplicates), approval via workflow, then distribution of "clean" data to target systems.
• Frame governance requirements: roles, responsibilities, validation rules, and approval paths (blueprint).
• Lead business/IT workshops and formalize functional (and/or techno-functional) specifications.

• Data Model, Change Request & Quality Rules:
• Use "out of the box" models and/or build custom data models if necessary.
• Implement validations & business rules via SAP BRF+.
• Contribute to data quality, including cleansing/merging functionalities and consolidation scenarios.

• Workflow & UI (Fiori / FPM) – MDG core:
• Design, configure, and troubleshoot the approval engine (workflow), considered a major element of MDG.
• Adapt screens and user paths: Fiori (new standard) and/or FPM (legacy) depending on the client context.
• Ensure ergonomics and adoption: key user training, guides, change support.

• Replication / Distribution & Integration (DRF and ecosystem):
• Configure and resolve distribution/replication issues via DRF (Data Replication Framework).
• Secure MDG integration with SAP Business Suite / ERP to reduce complexity and strengthen data integrity.
• Participate in data quality/enrichment integration scenarios, including possible integration with SAP Data Services and SAP Information Steward.

• Delivery & Project Quality (senior role):
• Define the testing strategy (unit/SIT/UAT), oversee execution, and secure acceptance.
• Ensure the quality of deliverables, compliance with standards (security, performance), and coach junior consultants.
• Act as a referent for solution decisions (design authority) and risk management.

Required profile :

Required Skills (must-have):

• SAP MDG Skills (functional / techno-functional):
• SAP MDG: architecture, functionalities, data models, centralized governance, distribution/replication.
• MDG Workflow (approvals): configuration, maintenance, troubleshooting.
• BRF+ (rules/validations): design of complex rules.
• DRF (replication): configuration and incident resolution.
• MDG UI: Fiori (priority) and/or FPM depending on legacy.
• ABAP: useful/necessary for specific needs (especially for technical roles).

• Data Quality / Data Management:
• Knowledge of data quality issues, governance, reduction of manual maintenance via workflows.
• Ability to address "messy data" / cleaning before S/4HANA (MDG as a lever).

Profile & Seniority:

• 5-9 years of experience in MDM/MDG projects (build & deployment, and/or run).
• Comfortable leading workshops, writing specifications, project governance, and coordinating multiple stakeholders.
• S/4HANA / ECC experience is appreciated (frequently encountered with MDG profiles).
