Job Description:

The Operational Performance Coordinator's mission is to contribute to the continuous improvement of mining activity performance through the collection, structuring, and enhancement of operational data.
He/She is responsible for collecting, consolidating, analyzing, and interpreting data from geology, mine planning, surveying, operations, and other mine departments.
The position holder develops and implements performance monitoring tools, dashboards, key performance indicators (KPIs), and automation solutions to ensure data reliability, reduce manual tasks, and improve the speed and quality of decision-making.
He/She also contributes to identifying and deploying digital and artificial intelligence solutions suited to the company's operational needs.
The role thus serves as a transverse interface between data, digital tools, and operational teams, with the goal of transforming available data into reliable and actionable information to support operational performance and decision-making.

Main Responsibilities

• Collect, clean, and consolidate data from various sources.
• Design and maintain reliable and documented databases.
• Develop dashboards and KPIs (Excel, Power BI, etc.).
• Automate processes using advanced Excel, Power Query, and VBA/Macros.
• Creation of dashboards and KPIs.
• Automation of dashboards using Excel, VBA/Macros, Power Query.
• Development of AI solutions and user support.
• Develop decision-support tools.
• Use SQL for extractions and analyses.
• Identify AI use cases for data management
• Train and support users.
• Ensure data quality, security, and governance.
• Ensure HSE practices and a safe working environment, and cooperate with the HSE department.
• Perform other tasks as needed to support company objectives.
• Supervise junior engineers.
• Periods will be spent on-site in a supervision role as part of ongoing development.
• Adhere to and support all company policies and procedures.
• Creation of advanced Excel files.
• Development of VBA macros.
• Creation of databases.
• Design of Power BI reports or others
• Statistical analysis and performance monitoring.
• Technological watch in Data & AI.

Interface Management

• Manage the interface between geology, planning, surveying, and operations.
• Maintain constructive and effective working relationships with employees and subcontractors.

Safety Management

• Ensure all activities are conducted safely and in accordance with Company standards and procedures.
• Ensure procedures and standards are followed.

Required profile :

Education Level

• Master's degree (Bac+5)

Experience

• 2 years of experience in a similar role.
• Experience in the mining sector is highly desirable.
• Experience in operational data analysis and dashboard development is an advantage.
• Experience in process automation and decision-support tool development is desired.

Technical Skills

• Good command of the Office Suite (Advanced Excel, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint).
• Expert Excel (advanced formulas, PivotTables, Power Query, Power Pivot).
• VBA / Macros.
• Creation, Management, and Modeling of databases.
• Power BI and/or other tools.
• Python (an asset).
