Job :

As part of strengthening our teams, we are looking for a Senior AS400 / IBM i Developer to ensure the development, evolutionary and corrective maintenance, and support of applications on the IBM i platform.

The candidate will be involved in the entire application lifecycle, in close collaboration with the technical, business, and functional teams.

Functions and responsibilities:

• Develop, maintain, and evolve applications on the AS400 / IBM i platform.
• Design, write, and modify programs in RPG / RPGLE.
• Develop and maintain CLLE programs.
• Carry out impact analyses related to evolutions and change requests.
• Provide production support and analyze incidents in compliance with service level agreements (SLAs).
• Diagnose anomalies, perform necessary investigations, and implement corrections.
• Propose and implement technical and functional improvements to applications.
• Collaborate with business and functional teams to understand needs and propose suitable solutions.
• Participate in testing, acceptance, deployment, and go-live phases.
• Ensure technical and functional documentation of developments and evolutions.
• Participate in the management and monitoring of batch processes and their scheduling on the IBM i environment.
• Comply with software development lifecycle processes and best practices.

Required profile :

Essential Skills

• More than 8 years of experience in development on AS400 / IBM i environment.
• Excellent command of RPG / RPGLE.
• Good command of CLLE.
• Excellent command of embedded SQL in RPG.
• Significant experience in production support and evolutionary and corrective maintenance.
• Strong skills in debugging, diagnostics, and incident resolution.
• Good understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Ability to work in production environments with strong requirements for availability and SLA compliance.

Preferred Skills

• Good command of DB2 for i / DB2 on AS400.
• Knowledge of SYNON / CA 2E.
• Experience with JIRA or similar ticket and incident tracking tools.
• Experience in managing batch processes and their scheduling on IBM i.
• Familiarity with Change Management processes.
• Experience in an environment highly focused on application support and maintenance.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with business, functional, and technical teams.
