In agreement with the Packaging Manager, the Packaging Engineer is responsible for the following tasks:
- Supports Line Leaders to improve their autonomy in production.- Supports Line Leaders to improve their autonomy in the maintenance of production equipment.- Implements and/or verifies the correct application of procedures and controls by Line Leaders to ensure:
- Supports Line Leaders to improve their autonomy in monitoring the quality of their production.- Ensures that Line Leaders:
- Participates in the implementation of the "food chain protection against malicious acts" (Food defense) process within their area of activity.- Ensures the application of procedures and rules for "Prevention of intrusion and malicious act risk" within their area of activity.
- Supports Line Leaders to improve their autonomy in monitoring their performance.- Monitors the performance indicators of their workshop.- Participates in the integration of all collaborators into the continuous improvement program.- Provides the necessary resources for the various activities of the approach.- Participates in improvement projects.- Ensures the application of standards and the label eradication system in all lines.- In collaboration with the relevant pillar, ensures the correct application of the various standards established in their area of action.- Maintains the workforce in their area within the established standard.
- Ensures that documents (Procedures, Records, and Specifications) used in their area are integrated into KII and up-to-date.- Updates procedures, records, and specifications related to their area.- Ensures the application of procedures, records, and specifications related to their area.- Monitors changes and signatures of documents related to their area.- Coordinates with the quality department for good document management.
- Supports line leaders to improve their autonomy in performance monitoring.- Leads PMS related to their area on a daily and weekly basis.- Leads PMS related to the department on a daily and weekly basis.- Prepares the deployment of losses related to their area/department (TRS, H/T, TRG...).
- Supports Line Leaders to improve their skills and autonomy in IT and digitalization.- Proposes new technological solutions within their area to optimize processes and operational performance.- Actively participates in the deployment, training, and support of teams on the following digital tools:- Fabriq: pilots and monitors the digitalization of visual management routines and action plans; promotes the use of the solution for daily operational performance management.- Poka: ensures the implementation and promotion of the knowledge management platform, supports the creation, capitalization, and dissemination of best practice standards within field teams.- Apriso: contributes to the digitalization of operations via the Apriso MES, supports users on traceability, collection of production data, and its exploitation to drive performance.- Acts as the reference and local support for resolving problems encountered with digital tools, liaising with technical teams if necessary.- Analyzes data from digital tools to identify and monitor areas for continuous improvement.- Participates in raising awareness and improving the digital skills of teams, by disseminating a culture of innovation and digital agility in the workshop.- Ensures technological watch on packaging digitalization solutions and proposes necessary evolutions.
- Participates in at least one BBA project (Team member or project coordinator).- Monitors the progress of all BBA projects within the packaging area.- Facilitates the implementation of action plans related to BBA packaging projects.
- Supports Line Leaders to improve their autonomy in team management.- Ensures constant respect for working conditions and proper application of internal regulations.- Oversees adherence to the established work organization and proposes adjustments.- Provides support for the autonomy and skill development of Line Leaders: training plans, coaching, etc.- Ensures a good social climate within the team by monitoring and resolving social issues.- Evaluates their personnel annually and participates in salary review proposals.- Ensures coordination with different departments as needed.
- Supports Line Leaders to achieve autonomous management of hygiene, cleanliness, and tidiness conditions.- Ensures the proper application of hygiene, cleanliness, and tidiness instructions, both general and specific to each workstation, through frequent observations.- Prevents any deviations or shortcomings in terms of hygiene, cleanliness, and tidiness.- Ensures compliance with the 5S methodology.
- Supports Line Leaders to achieve autonomous management of Health & Safety conditions and environmental performance.- Is responsible for promoting and applying the Health, Safety, and Environment policy to personnel under their responsibility (wearing PPE, using appropriate devices and equipment, etc.).- Takes charge of resolving any HSE anomalies that exceed the scope or compétences of the Line Leader.- Participates in the drafting of accident/incident reports within their unit.- Monitors and ensures the improvement of HSE indicators in their environment.- Organizes first aid and workshop evacuations in accordance with established safety rules.- Conducts and ensures the execution of Behavioral Safety Visits.
As a member of a pillar:- Analyzes losses.- Participates in improvement projects decided by the pillar to reduce losses.- Supports the training and development of improvement teams.- Audits and coaches project teams in achieving their objectives.- Participates in maintaining achieved results and preventing the recurrence of losses.
- Supports line leaders and operator technicians to improve their autonomy regarding different types of maintenance (Preventive and Curative).- Ensures the Adjustment and maintenance of the installations in their area.- Improves the performance of equipment in their area and reduces maintenance costs while respecting Hygiene, Quality, Safety, and Environment requirements.- Plans interventions and work to be carried out in liaison with factory scheduling and ensures the speed of repairs on industrial equipment.- Assists in the commissioning of new installations and optimizes their operation.- Identifies intervention priorities and prepares resources and orders actions.
