Job :

Main Mission:

Ensure the planning, monitoring, and optimization of rolling stock maintenance operations to guarantee their availability, reliability, and safety, while contributing to cost control and continuous improvement of maintenance department performance.

Main Tasks:

• Monitor the condition of rolling stock and ensure compliance with safety and environmental requirements in maintenance activities.
• Coordinate and monitor rolling stock maintenance operations: emergency, preventive, corrective, and predictive.
• Participate in the analysis of performance indicators (availability, reliability, costs, downtime, etc.) and propose appropriate improvement actions.
• Monitor and update maintenance plans and programs.
• Participate in the management of technical risks related to rolling stock and propose appropriate preventive measures.
• Ensure technical monitoring of interventions carried out by internal teams and external service providers.
• Participate in the preparation of specifications and the technical evaluation of bids for spare parts (PDR), equipment, and maintenance services.
• Monitor needs, consumption, and orders for spare parts to ensure the availability of strategic stocks.
• Perform failure analyses and contribute to the implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
• Participate in the implementation and improvement of maintenance procedures, methods, and tools.
• Contribute to the technical training and skills development of maintenance teams.
• Report on maintenance activities and prepare technical dashboards for management.
• Participate in rolling stock renewal, rehabilitation, or improvement projects.
• Monitor QSE audits and associated action plans.

HSE Roles & Responsibilities
• Wear the required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at the workstation.
• Apply ZMSM / AYA Gold & Silver safety standards.
• Comply with current regulations (regulatory controls).
• Analyze risks within the department regarding health, working conditions, safety, and environment.
• Implement the annual QSE action plan within their scope.
• Ensure a presence on site during high-risk maintenance operations or in workshops for inspection visits.
 

Required profile :

Knowledge:

• Mastery of underground equipment maintenance techniques: mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, electronic, and transmission systems.
• Good knowledge of maintenance strategies: preventive, corrective, predictive, conditional, and overhaul.
• Knowledge of manufacturer recommendations and procedures for different types of equipment.
• Mastery of continuous improvement methods applied to maintenance (TPM, Lean Maintenance, RCA, FMEA).
• Knowledge of planning and organizing maintenance activities.
• Basic understanding of budget management and maintenance cost tracking (OPEX and CAPEX).
• Mastery of Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) tools, dashboards, and performance indicators.
• Knowledge of HSE standards applicable to underground mining activities.
• Knowledge of failure analysis and equipment reliability techniques.
• Mastery of IT and office tools (Advanced Excel, reporting and analysis software).

Skills:
• Develop and monitor preventive, corrective, and conditional maintenance plans for rolling stock.
• Plan and coordinate maintenance interventions in collaboration with operational teams.
• Analyze maintenance performance indicators (availability, reliability, MTBF, MTTR, maintenance costs).
• Perform failure analyses and identify root causes of recurring failures.
• Propose and implement improvement actions to increase equipment availability and reliability.
• Participate in the preparation and monitoring of maintenance budgets.
• Establish technical specifications and participate in the evaluation of bids for spare parts, equipment, and maintenance services.
• Ensure monitoring of strategic stocks and spare parts orders.
• Participate in rolling stock improvement, modernization, and rehabilitation projects.
• Develop and analyze technical reports and maintenance dashboards.
• Ensure coordination with Production, Warehouse, Purchasing, HSE departments, and external service providers.
