Merchandiser - Casablanca

Based in Casablanca, a multinational company in the fashion and lifestyle sector involved in purchasing coordination and supply chain management.

Job :

Reporting to the Merchandiser Manager, your mission will be to contribute to the performance and achieve the set objectives of the Casablanca-based office. You will work across departments to follow production from start to finish with the suppliers in your scope (subcontracted work).

Your daily tasks will include:

• Working with the Merchandiser Manager, brand teams, and office team to ensure brand sales
• Following the entire sampling development process (technical file or picking request)
• Organizing buyer buying trips
• Finding negotiation leverage if prices are not accepted
• Defining production milestones and managing deadlines (OK FIT / OK PROD / fabric and accessory delivery / production launch)
• Obtaining all necessary brand approvals (patterns, samples, printing, embroidery, washing, trims, lab tests, etc.)
• Monitoring the weekly production schedule and shipment tracking. Proposing action plans to anticipate problems and provide solutions with clear and transparent communication.
• Supporting brands to achieve short lead times
• Organizing regular meetings with brand buying and pre-production teams, with the quality team and suppliers to closely monitor work in progress, quality, and inspection planning.
• Anticipating and resolving problems, ensuring timely delivery of goods and working with product development teams on trend development and selections.
• Verifying and submitting shipping and accounting invoices.
• Evaluating new suppliers and ensuring the consistency of the supplier panel according to brand needs and expectations (product offering, quality, compliance, price, lead time).
• Ensuring good representation of the company's policy, codes of practice, and work process to ensure all products are developed/sourced in a socially compliant environment.

Required profile :

Your academic background includes a Bac +4 degree (equivalent to a Bachelor's or Master's degree) with a specialization in Marketing, Production / Quality / Safety / Maintenance, or a related field. Solid training and in-depth knowledge in the Textile / Leather sector would be a significant asset. Proficiency in computer tools is essential.

Professional experience of 2 to 5 years is required.
