Job :

Throughout the Project Lifecycle

  • Ensure the feasibility of quality goals by using feedback from past projects and working with others to improve things continually.
  • Create and carry out the training plan for the project team on all important subjects (not just Quality).
  • Define, track, and keep up the project Quality dashboard, including the main results for each stage.
  • Help the engineering team meet supplier quality goals and watch over supplier quality performance (APQP) from when they are chosen until the project ends.
  • Make sure all parts can be traced all the way through the project.
  • Be the voice of Quality and the Customer in all important project choices, especially in Project Decision Meetings.

During the Design Phase

  • Lead the risk management process by using what we learned from past projects, finding possible risks, putting plans in place to fix them, and making sure they are done well.
  • Make sure the RFQs and product descriptions are strong by checking that all requirements from everyone involved (like performance, manufacturing, after-sales) are fully considered.
  • Help create the standards for measuring gaps and flush, and support efforts to reach the expected quality goals.

During Industrialization and Post-Launch

  • Coordinate teamwork between the Project and Plant teams to make sure the product/process is set up well and that quality tasks are done correctly during industrialization (managing defects, taking action to contain problems, controlling batches, etc.).
  • Organize and manage the finding, studying, and fixing of defects found on actual products.
  • Oversee the checking of parts that come from outside suppliers.
  • Make sure that the newest approved parts are always used in the cars being made.
  • After the product is launched, manage customer complaints from both the field and the plant, including early warning systems.
  • Prepare and give all needed quality documents and information to help move to mass production (regular production).

Skills

  • Good people skills (talking, leading, working with others)
  • Know how to use PLM tools well
  • Good at using Excel
  • Know about Lean Manufacturing ideas
  • Good at solving problems

Key Responsibilities

  • Be the voice of the Customer for the project team.
  • Create and keep up project Quality reports, including defining and tracking Quality measures for each project stage.
  • Plan and arrange training for the project team on all important subjects.
  • Manage project risks by using what was learned from past projects and finding risks related to QCTP, making sure the right actions are taken to lower them.
  • Lead the finding, studying, and fixing of defects found on actual products.
  • Make sure customer complaints from issues in the field after launch are managed and solved well.
