Job :

Reporting to the Project Management, your missions will include:

  • defining, deploying, and managing the project's HSE plan in compliance with contractual, regulatory, and internal requirements;
  • ensuring HSE coordination between project teams, operating companies, subcontractors, the port authority, and other stakeholders;
  • managing HSE requirements, requests, audits, and reports from funders and institutional partners, and overseeing associated action plans;
  • ensuring the integration of HSE requirements specific to a port environment subject to the ISPS code and port safety and operational rules;
  • anticipating and controlling risks related to the co-activity between construction work, port operations, and sustained maritime traffic;
  • elaborating and coordinating HSE measures related to material transport, considering the large volumes to be shipped and their interaction with road and port traffic;
  • analyzing flows, routes, and interaction zones to prevent risks related to the movement of equipment and vehicles;
  • realizing and supervising risk analyses related to the different project phases and ensuring the implementation of preventive measures;
  • monitoring HSE compliance by companies and subcontractors and managing necessary corrective actions;
  • preparing and supporting HSE audits, inspections, and visits by various stakeholders;
  • tracking HSE performance indicators, analyzing incidents and near misses, and reporting to Project Management;
  • contributing to the preparation and deployment of emergency plans and ensuring their coordination with the port complex's existing systems;
  • developing a prevention culture suitable for a project characterized by high co-activity and a high level of HSE requirements.

Required profile :

  • Higher education degree (Bac+5 level), engineering degree, with a specialization in HSE/QHSE or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in HSE management of large infrastructure or civil engineering projects.
  • Significant experience on port, maritime, or projects carried out on operational industrial sites is a major asset.
  • Experience in HSE management of projects involving multiple companies, subcontractors, and stakeholders.
  • Good command of HSE management systems, risk analysis, emergency management, and audit processes.
  • Experience with the environmental and social requirements of international funders is highly sought after.
  • Knowledge of the constraints related to the ISPS code and port environments.
  • Ability to handle HSE issues related to logistics flows and the transport of large volumes of materials.
  • Excellent coordination, analytical, and communication skills with stakeholders of different levels and cultures.
  • Ability to maintain a firm HSE stance while retaining an operational, solution-oriented approach.
  • Proficiency in French and English.
