Protect the company's contractual and regulatory interests and its legal compliance.
Provide studies and legal advice to the company and ensure the protection and defense of the company's rights, particularly in debt collection.
Main responsibilities
Provide accurate legal advice and guidance.
Draft, negotiate, and review contracts on behalf of the company and facilitate their registration.
Advise and support the company as needed, and disseminate public legal information.
Ensure the protection and enforcement of the company's legal rights, including intellectual property rights, debt collection, and defense against legal actions brought against the company.
Manage the legal aspects of the company's real estate, commercial guarantees, and titles and receivables.
Ensure the company's protection in legal, contractual, and regulatory compliance aspects.
Safeguard the company's data, documents, titles, and seals.
Provide legal advice on labor law and contractual aspects related to employees.
Manage the legal aspects of housing, vehicles, and loans granted to employees.
Manage the company's legal department.
Supervise external lawyers to ensure efficient, timely, and cost-effective services and results.
Provide legal advice to the Management Committee on the legal framework applicable to the company's activities and advise general management on the drafting, interpretation, and implementation of company policies and contracts.
Participate in audit, control, and credit committees.
Serve as secretary for board meetings.
Manage the legal department budget, promptly report any deviations from the plan, and take corrective actions as necessary, in accordance with the approved governance process.
Consolidate budgets from various departments and establish the department's budget, submitting it to general management for approval and consolidation.
Ensure that each employee has a job description reflecting management expectations.
Ensure that ambitious goals have been assigned to employees in accordance with the expectations and deadlines set by general management.
Support and coach direct reports.
Ensure that staff have the necessary training and tools to perform their jobs effectively and in accordance with their job descriptions.
Monitor performance and provide regular feedback and evaluations to ensure objectives are met.
Prepare a workforce work plan and a talent acquisition plan to ensure optimal department operation; and submit them to management for approval.
Identify talent for key positions for succession management and business continuity. Coordinate with the HR department for enrollment in appropriate training programs.
Organize regular meetings with staff to foster a positive work environment and improve work efficiency.
Promote effective communication at all levels of the company and with other functions at headquarters and Group subsidiaries.
Required profile :
Law degree with at least 15 years of relevant legal experience in a law firm or multinational company.
Required experience in commercial law, litigation, legal secretarial work, and team management.
Demonstrated ability to develop defensive and proactive legal strategies.
Exemplary integrity and professional ethics.
Critical thinking and ability to analyze situations and information.
Arabic, French, and English mandatory.
