100,000 Potential Jobs in Morocco with Renewable Energies

MAROCCO. Dii encourages Morocco to invest in the renewable energy industry. In its report, "Economic Impacts of Desert Power", presented in Casablanca on May 22, 2013, the Desertec Industrial Initiative (Dii) estimates that for every billion euros invested in thermo-solar and photovoltaic energy, 58,000 job-years would be created in Morocco.
This figure even reaches 104,000 with wind power (46,000 job-years).
These jobs concern the manufacturing of components in the country and the construction of power plants, as well as their operation and maintenance.
