100,000 Tech Jobs in the Next Five Years

President Zine El Abidine Ben Ali met Wednesday morning with Minister of Industry and Technology Afif Chalbi to discuss the industrial situation, business support, and strengthening competitiveness.
The President also reviewed the progress of technology promotion and innovation programs. He called for optimal use of programs designed to strengthen Tunisia's position as a major industrial and technological platform.
He stressed the need to improve technological infrastructure, particularly by completing the construction of technopoles with one billion dinars in investment partnered with the private sector.

This investment will create more than 100,000 jobs in high-tech sectors over the next five years.

President Zine El Abidine Ben Ali also reviewed preparations for the upcoming Technology Creation and Development exhibition and the Euro-Mediterranean Technological Innovation Conference in October, under the President’s patronage.
