30% of public sector recruitment in 2013 concerns education and training sectors, representing 6942 positions, according to the 2013 State Budget draft. In total, the 2013 State budget plans to recruit 23,267 people into the public sector. The education sector holds the lion's share of these recruitments (5648 positions) "to improve educational indicators at all levels and promote the teaching of English, French and computer science", states the official document.
It also plans to improve the sector's coverage needs such as creating new educational institutions and generalizing preparatory classes, highlights the same source. It also involves recruiting 4205 teaching staff for primary and secondary education as well as 1443 supervisors, administrative and laboratory staff. As for the health sector, it represents 14% of total public sector recruitments, representing 3180 new positions including 569 doctors and pharmacists. Other recruitments concern notably the interior (2965 positions), justice (1400 positions), agriculture (1111 positions), youth and sport (1102 positions) and finance (844 positions).
