It is better to send 3 targeted resumes per week rather than 30 generic applications. The era of the single, standard resume is over, if it ever existed.
2. Creating multiple versions is the right approach.
To meet the expectations of your contact. If a general engineer has several professional projects, they will have to adapt their application according to the position targeted. A resume focused on design offices, a second focused on quality, and a third focused on methods or processes will allow them to personalize their application.
3. The cover letter follows the same logic.
It's a sales document aimed at getting a message across. A cover letter that uses stereotypical phrases will not be read.
