7 Resolutions for a Zen Year at the Office

It's done, 2014 is ending on a high note for some, on its knees for others, in great shape for all of us, we hope!

The Christmas holidays are often an opportunity to take stock, recharge, and possibly get rid of our bad habits! Here is (WITH HUMOR) a small list of all the little quirks you can get rid of very quickly:

In 2015, it's decided:

No more emails after 11 pm! No more last look at your smartphone before bed! I take 15 minutes each evening and morning to meditate silently, calmly on what is important to me. I emphasize the positive and what I appreciated in the day

No more quick lunches in front of my computer, in 2015 I go out to air my body and mind, at least once or twice a week, taking care to network with people who inspire me and whom I appreciate.

No more saying I'm going to take the subway when I systematically take the car. Same for my emails, I only print essential documents. In 2015, I will be more environmentally responsible!

No more saying I'm going to start meditating when I turn on the TV as soon as I get home. In 2015, I take the time to appreciate the silence, and I take breaks.

No more 15 coffees a day... which will help achieve the goal of the previous point. I'm trying new fruity teas, or tonic herbal teas that are better for my balance and my heart.

No more Candy Crush and its invitations sent to Facebook friends (some of whom are colleagues), besides I stop spending too much time on Facebook and tweeting 30 times a day. I only tweet for precious and useful information for my followers. On Facebook I reserve my comments for my close friends (with caution).

No more complaining, harassing interns, embarrassing my colleagues, meddling in things that don't concern me, being constantly on the defensive, being too negative...In 2015 I am positive and I look for solutions. When I'm annoyed I talk about it quickly and I look for a useful compromise.

And then a whole bunch of other fun things, it's up to you to fill in your list...

No more writing emails in capitals, no more subscribing to tons of newsletters that I don't read, no more sneaking my boss's candy, no more criticizing HR... No more memos on sticky notes that end up in the trash on Friday evening. No more doubting myself, no more putting everything off until tomorrow... And especially in 2015, no more lists and I work serenely taking great care of my priorities!
