With an investment of around 200 million US dollars, the Bombardier project will begin operations around mid-2014.
Bombardier Morocco
The factory of the Canadian aircraft manufacturer Bombardier, which will be built within the integrated industrial platform dedicated to the aeronautics and space trades Midparc, inaugurated on Monday by His Majesty King Mohammed VI, will create 850 direct jobs, said Hugo Brouillard, General Manager of Bombardier Aerospace in Morocco.
With an investment of around 200 million US dollars, the Bombardier project will begin operations around mid-2014, said Mr. Bourria to the MAP.
The first to open its doors at Midparc, the Bombardier Morocco factory will give a new dynamic to the development of the aeronautics sector, because of the expected economic benefits in terms of increased Moroccan exports and development of the local industrial fabric.
The Bombardier Morocco factory, which will be built in three phases, will eventually produce structural components for the flight controls of its Learjet 70 and 75 business jets and its CRJ Series commercial aircraft.
The establishment of Bombardier is added to that of major prime contractors (EADS, Boeing, Bombardier, Safran Group, Daher, Souriau, Zodiac Aerospace, Air France Industries, etc.) and confirms, once again, the ability of the Kingdom of Morocco to host a quality aeronautical base.
