9 Projects Signed Between GIZ and Tunisian Promoters

The Fund for the Training and Promotion of Youth Employment in Tunisia is implemented by the German International Cooperation (GIZ), acting on behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ).

The main partner of GIZ for the implementation of this Fund is the Ministry of Development and International Cooperation (MDCI). This Fund has a budget of 5.5 million euros and responds to a real and priority need, namely the creation of job opportunities and the improvement of qualifications for young people. It is in this context that the signing ceremony of the projects selected by the Fund for the Training and Promotion of Youth Employment in Tunisia took place within the Ministry of Development and International Cooperation (MDCI). Nine promoters presented their projects: the Campagne Association, the Tunisian Association for Cultural Action (ATAC), Knauf Tunisia, Verre Soufflé Sadika (VSS), the Association for the Safeguarding of the Medina of Tozeur (ASM), the Tunisian-German Chamber of Industry and Commerce (AHK), Generation Avenir, the Gafsa Sud Development Association (ADGS), and Bouzguenda Frères Company (SBF).
In addition to the participation of the selected promoters and members of the team of the Fund for Training and Promotion of Youth Employment in Tunisia, the ceremony was attended by, among others, Mr. Noureddine Zekri, Secretary of State in charge of Development and International Cooperation, His Excellency Dr. Andreas Reinicke, Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany, and Dr. Rainer Krischel, Resident Director of the GIZ office in Tunisia.
