ABIDJAN, Ivory Coast (AMA)/- The African Media Agency (AMA) and Media Watcher (VEDEM) announced in December 2014 the launch of their first print and web media monitoring solution across seven Francophone African countries. This unique solution in West Africa will allow companies, NGOs, governments and international organizations to understand and manage their image in the print and online media.
Media monitoring of print and internet is offered in the following countries: Ivory Coast, Burkina Faso, Mali, Senegal, Niger, Cameroon and Gabon.
VEDEM monitors the largest database of print and online publications in the region and offers alert and electronic press overview services, as well as detailed analysis through keyword and sector searches. It is becoming increasingly difficult for companies operating in Africa to keep up with the changing media landscape and get an accurate picture of the effectiveness of their press campaigns. VEDEM's media monitoring solutions provide valuable information to clients who want to know what the press says about them, their competitors, their sectors of activity and the stakeholders involved in their areas of intervention.
"We are pleased to be able to offer our clients working in the region a cutting-edge solution that allows them to track the media impact of their actions, on print and online press, while providing them with accurate and in-depth analytical reports," said Eloïne Barry, CEO of AMA.
The monitoring system can provide daily alerts based on keywords, and detailed monthly reports including key figures, audience, advertising equivalence, types of media and sources, or a detailed list of journalists... "VEDEM's solution allows us to better serve our current clients who use AMA's services for the deployment of their press campaigns across the African continent. We are now able to provide a 360-degree service that starts with the strategy and distribution of content and ends with a complete analytical report of media coverage on both print and online media," added Ms. Barry. The VEDEM team has developed its experience and expertise through its activities in the media monitoring sector for 10 years, first in Europe and then by establishing itself in Abidjan, Ivory Coast, in the heart of this region.
"It is a real challenge to offer the same media monitoring solutions in West Africa as in Europe, available as alerts, electronic press overviews and analyses. Our profession intervenes at the end of the press relations chain, in the restitution of information, but we also become the first email sent each morning to companies, which makes us an essential partner. Thanks to our collaboration with African Media Agency, we will be able to increase the scope of our offer in the region and make it benefit all our clients." concluded Fabrice Piofret, President of Media Watcher.
