Al Akhawayn Alumni to Hold 6th Annual Job Fair on April 25, 2009

Al Akhawayn Alumni (AA), the association of Al Akhawayn University in Ifrane graduates, is organizing the 6th edition of its annual Job Fair. This year's theme is "The New Economic Situation: Challenges and Opportunities." This year's event will also include participants from AIESEC alumni, as was the case last year, reflecting the association's policy of closeness, attentiveness and openness.
 

Six years after the first edition, the Job Fair has become a hub for skills and one of the most important events in the annual calendar for recruiters, the University, and AA. This edition will allow students and graduates from Al Akhawayn and other major schools to meet and showcase their skills to major companies based in Morocco and abroad. This choice reflects a strategic direction of the new Al Akhawayn Alumni association board.

About thirty of the largest public and private companies in Morocco will travel to Ifrane to meet future graduates. The sectors of activity of these national and multinational companies cover various fields, including industry, real estate, agri-food, finance, telecommunications, IT, and human resources.

Al Akhawayn Alumni has provided several facilities for recruiters and graduates. These include the distribution of a CD containing a database of resumes from Al Akhawayn University graduates, a private space for pre-employment interviews, and inclusion in the catalog distributed to visitors.

Al Akhawayn Alumni was officially created in March 2003. The result of a joint effort by graduates from different graduating classes (since 1998), its objectives are:
- To ensure communication between graduates while maintaining mutually beneficial relationships between Al Akhawayn Alumni and Al Akhawayn University.
- To develop cooperation, consultation, and socio-professional interaction among Al Akhawayn University graduates.
- To organize professional and social events and entertainment activities for its members.
