You lack efficiency to improve your situation, professional or personal, in your company or elsewhere?
You wonder why and how?
Here are some principles to increase the efficiency of your improvement process:
1. Abandon fixed ideas
As long as you cling to the rope that is strangling you, you will survive. Without solving your problem.
2. Instead of explaining what is impossible to do, think about how to do it
You will always find a "good" reason not to implement a solution that allows you to move forward.
3. Refuse the current state of affairs
If you don't want to see the brightness of the problem, you won't be able to see a shadow of a solution.
4. Immediately implement good improvement proposals
If you don't start the process with a first action, you risk prolonging your problem. Waiting for the rescue boat without taking a seat in the lifeboat, the tsunami of your problems risks overwhelming you.
5. Don't strive for perfection
Perfection does not exist. Neither do miracle solutions. By seeking THE perfection, you risk missing solutions that would allow you to go through the steps towards solving your problem, step by step.
6. Correct the error immediately on the ground
The implementation of a solution is done on the ground. It allows to move towards improvement AND to detect any malfunctions or problems hidden until now by the problem now solved.
7. Find innovative ideas
The world is constantly changing. What was valid yesterday may have become obsolete today. Old ideas don't always work. New ideas will solve new problems.
8. First identify the real cause in order to then look for the solution
It is better to know where the fire is before calling the firefighters. An apparent cause may hide a bigger problem. The improvement of the situation goes through the real source of the problems. Don't dam a river downstream, if it can change its course upstream.
9. Record the ideas of 10 people instead of waiting for the brilliant idea of one
One idea leads to another. Everyone contributes their stone to the building of reflection. Union makes strength both in the search for causes and in the search for solutions and even more in their implementation.
10. Make improvement permanent
Continuously, internal or external events influence a situation, even the most optimized ones. That is why improvement is a quality process, itself permanent.
