ANAPEC: 7000 New Jobs in Salé for 2015

To help the unemployed in Salé, the National Agency for the Promotion of Employment and Skills (ANAPEC) has opened a new center in the city.

Indeed, ANAPEC, in partnership with the Ministry of Employment and Social Affairs, aims to create more than 7000 new jobs by 2015. To achieve this goal, several agreements were signed last Friday at the prefecture headquarters. The event was chaired by Mr. Abdesslam Seddiki, Minister of Employment and Social Affairs, and Mr. Rachid Belmokhtar, Minister of National Education and Vocational Training, and in the presence of Mr. Abdeslam Bekrate, Governor of the Salé Prefecture, and Mr. Hafid Kamal, Director General of ANAPEC. These agreements between ANAPEC and its public and private partners concern the recruitment of more than 6100 young people by 2015.

"Salé has a high unemployment rate. We must solve the employment problem, which is not limited to Morocco but affects the whole world. We must find solutions as soon as possible for graduates who are struggling to find work, hence the signing of these agreements today," explains the Governor of Salé, Mr. Abdeslam Bekrate.

The city of Salé benefits from strong human and economic potential, combined with a need for more than 7000 effective jobs in 2015, especially in the offshoring and ICT sectors, and presents enormous short and medium-term integration opportunities.

The first agreement signed with the Al Wifaq Cooperative is a framework partnership agreement between ANAPEC, the Salé Prefecture, the Regional Academy of Education and Training, the Provincial Delegation of the Ministry of National Education and Vocational Training and the Al Wifaq Cooperative. Following this agreement, 4 private schools are being created, thanks to developers, and will be delivered and managed by unemployed graduates from the Salé region. ANAPEC will be responsible for training, selection and recruitment of staff, within the framework of the "Akadimiyat Attadriss" program for the Al Wifaq Cooperative.

Two partnership agreements have been signed between ANAPEC and the Salé Prefecture. The objective of these two agreements is to support income-generating activities within the framework of the National Human Development Initiative, and the training of young people from the Salé Prefecture to meet the skills needs of local businesses.

Four other agreements have been signed with the companies Econocom, Lear Corporation, Infoteam and Groupe 4S, operating in the ICT and offshoring sectors. These economic operators will recruit 6100 young people by 2015, in the professions of IT development engineer, help desk technician, multi-skilled operator and CCTV technician.

"Employing young people is a priority to contribute to the development of the country. We must prepare good conditions for our young people who are full of ambition. According to a study, there would be many job opportunities in Morocco, and despite this we have one million unemployed according to ANAPEC. 8000 jobs will be created in the city following these partnerships," declares Mr. Abdesslam Seddiki, Minister of Employment and Social Affairs. "4 ministries are ready to do everything to help investors and project leaders, to offer them the right conditions to successfully carry out their projects. The unemployment problem is not just a government problem, it is everyone's problem, so we must all contribute to reducing unemployment in Morocco," continues the Minister of Employment and Social Affairs.

It is essential to remember that ANAPEC remains a tool of the State, according to Mr. Hafid Kamal, Director General of ANAPEC. "We went from 24 agencies in 2006 to 75 in 2009. We received 300,000 applications, supported 70,000, and 60,000 benefited from our services," he declares.

ANAPEC has consolidated its position in the job market as a recognized operator nationally and internationally. The placements made by ANAPEC tripled between 2004 and 2012, with an average annual growth of 10%. Beyond its achievements in terms of placement, certain achievements have been recorded by ANAPEC.
