Dear Members, Many of you wish to apply anonymously, but many lack vigilance when managing confidentiality. To avoid unpleasant surprises, below are 3 essential steps to follow when applying for a career opportunity. These steps will allow you to correctly manage your anonymity and avoid problems.

Step 1: Ensure your attached CV is anonymous
The first and most important thing is to make sure your attached CV is anonymous, which is often not the case. Create two CVs: one normal, one anonymous. Anonymous means hiding your identity (name, first name), removing your photo (if included), and hiding your current employer. However, keep a valid, anonymous email address. You can create a Gmail account with a pseudonym, but be careful not to use an address with your name and surname, as this will immediately reveal your identity.


Step 2: Fill out your ExeKutive profile correctly
Correctly filling out your ExeKutive profile is also very important. Don't just use a sentence or copy/paste your CV; describe what you can't put on your CV in a few lines (the text field is unlimited). You can make sections confidential by checking "This information should be hidden if my profile is sent confidentially" for each section. Don't hide your career summary or skills sections; these are most important to recruiters. Recruiters won't guess your identity from your professional background (without company names) and skills!


Step 3: Check the "Confidential Mode" box when applying
When applying, check the "Confidential Mode" box to anonymize your profile. If you don't, your profile will be public. Always check that your attachment is also confidential. Following these steps ensures confidentiality and avoids problems.

You control your ExeKutive profile. Only companies you send your application to can contact you. There's no CV database on ExeKutive; companies can't access your profile unless you apply. However, always verify everything before clicking "apply" if you wish to remain anonymous.
