It's official, your new boss is... your former office colleague. It's not easy to go from colleague to "reporting to". Here are some tips to make this transition smoothly.
Take a step back: This management position seemed tailor-made for you, but it went to your colleague. A little jealousy? A normal reflex, but it shouldn't last. "The employee must absolutely change their perspective. In other words, don't stay focused on themselves but concentrate on the company's point of view. And tell themselves, if the company made this choice, it's probably the best solution," emphasizes Nathalie Steinberg, CEO of Mercuri Urval Development.
