The Moroccan Automotive Sector: A Key Driver of the Job Market

The Moroccan automotive sector remains one of the essential engines of the job market. With ambitious projects and a forward-looking vision, it continues to recruit massively, attracting talent from diverse backgrounds. But what explains this dynamic? Adil Ziani, Head of Human Resources at Stellantis’ Kénitra plant, shares his perspective:
Once again this year, the automotive sector is among the most active recruiters. How do you explain this?
"The automotive ecosystem in Morocco continues to grow significantly, which is reflected in the dynamic recruitment activity. At Stellantis, we firmly believe that the success of our company is built on the value and development of our human capital. Our Kénitra plant, which is set to double its annual production capacity to 400,000 vehicles by 2027, embodies this vision.
We have made significant investments to develop state-of-the-art infrastructure and innovative training programs that enable our employees to acquire the skills needed to meet the demands of an ever-evolving industry. This includes specialized training in areas such as automation, robotics, artificial intelligence, and maintenance 4.0. These investments in developing local skills demonstrate our commitment to supporting talent and teams at all levels.
Additionally, our collaboration with local institutions and training centers aims to align educational programs with the real needs of the market, ensuring a strong match between supply and demand for skills. Thus, we are not only creating jobs but also building sustainable careers for our employees.
The emphasis on operational excellence and product quality, combined with proactive talent management, makes Stellantis, and particularly the Stellantis Kénitra plant, an employer of choice and a driving force for the automotive industry in Morocco."
