The African Development Bank (AfDB) has granted Morocco a donation of approximately 6.4 million Dirhams to fund a technical assistance project for promoting young agricultural entrepreneurs.
This donation is part of a project supporting the establishment of 160 viable micro-businesses through training, support, and technical advice for young agricultural entrepreneurs. These entrepreneurs will contribute to improving the productivity of the agricultural sector as part of the Green Morocco Plan.
The donation agreement was signed on Friday in Rabat by the Minister of Economy and Finance, Nizar Baraka, and the AfDB's resident representative in Morocco, Ms. Amina Abou Zeid. The Minister Delegate to the Minister of Economy and Finance, in charge of the budget, Idriss Azami Idrissi, was also present.

The AfDB currently supports the strategy of the Green Morocco Plan, which aims to make agriculture a national growth driver. To this end, the Bank has financed a project supporting the national water economy program, amounting to approximately 600 million Dirhams. This will convert 20,000 hectares to localized irrigation in the operational areas of the Agricultural Development Offices of Loukkos, Tadla, Doukkala, and Moulouya.
