Mise en place d’un nouveau site web d’embauche et d’une nouvelle campagne d’image employeur.
Club Med is courting young Moroccans. A new version of its website went live on April 1st. This platform provides the necessary information to apply for jobs, see the latest openings, the different job types offered, the required qualifications, and practical advice… "The website www.clubmedjobs.ma accurately reflects Club Med’s new positioning with candidates," the tourism operator emphasizes. This action is part of a new recruitment communication policy targeting Moroccan candidates. Besides the promise of a real job, Club Med highlights personal and professional development for G.O.s and G.E.s that goes beyond the candidate’s initial skills. Each year, Club Med hires an average of 5,000 seasonal workers to join its villages in Europe, Africa, the Middle East… in over 100 professions.
Note that Club Med, winner of the Randstad Award for the most attractive company in its sector in 2010 and 2011, pays particular attention to the quality of its employer image, fundamental to its recruitment process. "This perception of Club Med as an employer by candidates is a key factor in the success of recruitment, both qualitative and quantitative, which is strategic for the company as part of its upscale repositioning," the group specifies. Based on this observation, the leader in multicultural high-end tourism undertook a revamp of its HR communication in the first half of 2011 around the concept "the joy of self-discovery." As a reminder, Club Méditerranée, the inventor of the "holiday club" concept, is the world leader in all-inclusive holidays. Present in 40 countries, it has 75 villages spread across five continents and the Club Med 2 cruise ship. The Europe-Africa Business Unit (the largest in the Group, the others being North America, Latin America and Asia-Pacific) brings together more than 12,000 G.O.s and G.E.s and manages nearly 23,000 seasonal worker assignments per year. It should be noted that the Kingdom has always supported Club Med’s evolution, since the creation of the first permanent village in 1965 in Agadir, the first 5-trident village… currently, the group has 4 villages in Morocco with 1,200 employees.

"Each candidate can enhance their professional skills"
- You recently conducted an "employer image" study in Africa and Europe. What were your motivations and what are the results of this study?
Following an "employer image" study in Europe and Africa focused on the Group’s strategic professions—namely hospitality, catering, sports, health, and early childhood—and a seminar bringing together its main executives around an ambitious communication project for the brand, Club Med decided to overhaul the fundamentals of its employment-related communication.
The foundation of this campaign is based on a redesign of the "Club Med - employer" visual identity, accompanied by a new HR signature, to be deployed primarily on the web and then gradually on other communication channels.
Besides the promise of a real job, Club Med highlights personal and professional development for G.O.s and G.E.s that goes beyond the candidate’s initial skills.
- What profiles are you currently unable to find on the market?
Each year, Club Med recruits on average more than 70 new seasonal workers to join the villages located in Morocco in more than 100 professions.
In line with its positioning and as part of its upscale repositioning, the following 3 families of professions, where the shortage of candidates is almost permanent, are priorities in terms of recruitment of G.O.s and G.E.s at the heart of the Club Med service:
Sports (circus, rollerblading, mountain biking…), hospitality and catering (housekeepers, kitchen assistants, bakers, pastry chefs, butchers, sommeliers, line cooks, chefs), and health and early childhood (nurses, pediatric nurses, baby club animators)
- For Club Med, what are the criteria for choosing the right candidate?
During an experience at Club Med, each candidate can enhance their professional skills and develop their expertise by practicing their profession differently, discover/grow themselves through contact with others; and develop their employability or even build a career within the company thanks to rigorous talent and skills management.
