How to conclude a job interview?
The interview begins...from the first handshake and ends as you might have guessed...with the last handshake...
Concluding the interview is just as important as the welcoming phase.
If the recruiter doesn't summarize the interview, do it yourself, by restating what you understood about the position and specifying your strengths and motivation.
Avoid highlighting points of disagreement between your skills and those requested, unless you can offer a solution to bridge the gap.
And don't leave without at least the following information:
- Who contacts the other and within what timeframe,
- When the recruiter will make their decision,
- How you will be notified of the response.
In short, be yourself and stay natural, don't repeat word for word the content of your resume, if that were all it took, the recruiter wouldn't need to meet you, simply reading your resume would have sufficed.
