Did you spend your Sunday evening dwelling on your hatred of Monday...? Did you have trouble waking up? Are you constantly muttering that you don't like Mondays over your breakfast? Don't question yourself anymore, you're one of the "Monday phobics".
How to fight it...? Follow the 5 steps.
1. The first thing to do is try to identify the cause of this dislike of Monday. Ask yourself, right away, if you really feel good in your work, if you are having problems with your superior and/or your colleagues. If everything seems correct, if everything seems to fit, ask yourself about your pleasure in working in this position, in this company... By finding the cause, you will destroy the basis of the problem.
2. Think about setting work goals (updating such a project that you appreciate, having lunch with such a nice colleague...) that deeply motivate you. You will probably want, after a weekend of rest with your family, to dive back into it on Monday, in order to advance the process initiated.
3. During the day on Sunday, spend your energy as much as possible in order to be sleepy on Sunday evening and to avoid projecting yourself in thought to Monday morning. Practice relaxing activities and sports, such as yoga, swimming, walking (in the forest)...
4. Think about organizing moments of pleasure and joy for Monday evening, such as a dinner, a show, a movie night, an outing with friends, a good book that you've been dreaming of reading for a long time... In this way, not only will you no longer dread this hated day, but you will almost look forward to its arrival. It should be a kind of rehabilitation ritual. Do it for as long as necessary, without feeling guilty.
5. If this hatred of Monday persists despite your solutions, do not hesitate to consult a psychologist or psychotherapist, in order to find out what professional problem prevents you from fully flourishing there.
