You barely arrived and you've already incurred the wrath of your colleagues and missed a morning of work because you didn't hear your alarm... This is absolutely not a good start, because in a company, there are things not to do and if you want to prolong your 'stay', there are rules to respect especially during a probationary period.
ReKrute.com gives you some advice to get through this period as best as possible.
Be diligent and serious:
It is obvious that the basic rules, before anything else, are respecting working hours, seriousness and diligence. Do not hesitate to get involved from the start if you feel that you are needed, do not hesitate to do overtime.
Be curious:
You have just joined the company, so it is impossible to know everything and master everything from the first few days. So do not hesitate to ask questions, it will absolutely not penalize you, on the contrary, it demonstrates your interest and motivation for the position.
Don't get stuck:
You have just arrived, you are full of ideas and ambitions, you want at all costs to make yourself noticed, that's good, but don't let it turn into a power struggle. Suggest your ideas, without getting stuck, don't forget that you are on probation, take it easy and be patient, everything comes to those who wait.
Be sociable:
Don't lock yourself in your office during the lunch break, go eat with your colleagues instead, you will be able to get to know them better and make yourself appreciated. And then, it's always well seen to integrate well into a group and to show interest in your colleagues, even those from other departments.
The most important thing is obviously to be yourself during this period! If you show that you are motivated and that you want it, you will get through it without any problem!
And above all, don't forget that this probationary period will also allow you to see if you like your new job, if this is not the case, you can always leave.
