In a company, to be understood between colleagues, everyone uses a communication method that they think is suitable for their interlocutor. To be heard and understood by the members of your team, your way of communicating must be correct in their eyes so that you can make decisions together and do effective work.
Miscommunication: an obsolete communication method
If your way of communicating with your colleagues is not adapted to each person and according to their personality, there is a risk of misunderstanding between you and your interlocutor. This misunderstanding is designated by a term: "miscommunication." Often, this form of communication leads both parties involved to a state of stress because they do not understand each other and their discussions revolve around misunderstandings that can degenerate.
To avoid these misunderstandings leading to stress and poor communication, you must use a communication style adapted to each interlocutor who is in front of you. Indeed, this work is not easy but necessary.
To better understand your colleagues, you must adapt to their way of being. Each of you is different and has a personal way of communicating. You have your own qualities and specific needs like each person working with you, that is why it is important to value each person around you and establish a positive communication that will encourage the commitment of your colleagues.

Establishing good communication with your superior is as important for you as it is for them. To communicate well with your manager, it is important that you give them your full attention and that you ask them questions if you do not understand the tasks that have been asked of you very well.
Indeed, so that you can get along well and be understood by your hierarchical superior, you must be able to follow instructions, understand the instructions given to you, know how to ask the right questions when necessary, communicate any problem or result related to your work…
To understand and be understood well, you must be aware of the difference and the personality of each person. You must also realize that the difference of each person making up your team is an asset and therefore a complementarity for the group. Adapting to the personality and therefore to the type of communication of each person allows you, somewhere, to enrich your own relational potential…
