International Conference on Youth Employment in Tunisia

An international conference on youth employment in Tunisia, North Africa, and the Middle East will be held on November 28 and 29 at the Kram Exhibition Park.

The conference is organized as part of the Business and Technology Crossroads (Cat 2012), organized by the Agency for the Promotion of Industry and Innovation (Api).

To help governments in the Middle East and North Africa promote entrepreneurship, share knowledge of international best practices, and focus on the future, the European Union and UNIDO have formed a strategic partnership to address these key concerns.

This is the framework for the "International Conference on Productive Employment for Youth in Tunisia and the Middle East and North Africa Region."

It aims to provide recommendations to governments on productive and sustainable youth employment.

The program includes plenary sessions on creating productive and sustainable jobs through investment development, entrepreneurship, and the value chain.

Organizers hope to bring together over 400 participants, including a majority of young potential Tunisian and Arab entrepreneurs, government representatives, the European Union, other UN agencies, partners and donors, investment fund managers, investors, and representatives of various financial institutions.

Other events will take place in parallel, such as business-to-business meetings, a job fair, and practical training for young people on topics related to business creation and growth.
