1. Avoid language errors
Like any letter, a cover letter must be correctly written. Nothing is more disqualifying than a spelling or style mistake (pay attention to agreements and past participles), especially in positions that require perfect written language skills.
2. Don't be all over the place
Unlike a resume, which in some cases can be two pages long, a cover letter should fit on one page, no more. So be brief and concise. Don't be too long-winded; this is important. When sending by email, you must include the letter in the body of the email and not as an attachment (only the resume is "attached")!
3. Stay positive
Use positive nouns and adjectives and action verbs. Avoid negative forms like "not" in your letter.
4. Show you have style
An elegant and well-written letter will surely "wake up" the recruiter, often overwhelmed by soporific letters, painfully banal.
Remember that this letter is meant to sell you; highlight the match between your profile and the company's needs.
