Employment, Regional Development and Knowledge Economy, three challenges to overcome
Mr. Mohamed Ghannouchi, Vice-President of the Constitutional Democratic Rally (RCD) and Prime Minister, launched the 2nd session of the 2010-2011 national dialogue spaces on the presidential program "Together, let's meet the challenges" (Tunis, October 21, 2010). The Prime Minister delivered a speech in which he stated, in particular, that the coming period requires the mobilization of efforts to meet the challenges and win the stakes, particularly with regard to employment, strengthening the knowledge economy and boosting the regional development process.

The Prime Minister noted that graduates of higher education represent 60% of additional job applications, which attests to the fact that Tunisia has managed to win the challenge of education and the promotion of human resources. He observed that the employment of higher education graduates represents, of course, a major challenge for Tunisia but, at the same time, an opportunity to give the national economy the desired qualitative change, given the high-level skills of these job seekers.(to be continued...)
