A national front of unemployed associations was launched Wednesday in Tunis, at the initiative of the National Association of Unemployed. The front, which will be the spokesperson for the associations and will conduct discussions with public administrations, includes some 32 associations representing the unemployed.
It was decided, during the meeting which brought together a large number of representatives of regional associations of unemployed, to implement the partnership agreement concluded between the National Agency for Employment and Independent Work and the Tunisian National Association of Unemployed.
This agreement is part of the employment encouragement program which provides in one of its articles for the improvement of the skills of job seekers. In effect since June 22, 2012 for a renewable year, the agreement aims to place new recruits in applied internships in a professional environment, either in the context of paid work or the creation of their own projects.
