Nabeul Tourism Training Center Activities Begin

After starting the first phase of its modernization project in 2009, the Nabeul Tourism School (Cap-Bon, Tunisia) has been renovated to become the Nabeul Tourism Training Center. Its activities will begin with the start of the 2010/2011 school year in training centers.

Funded by the French Development Agency (AFD) and the Tunisian Ministry of Tourism, the modernization project for the Nabeul Tourism School included the renovation of all training spaces, the acquisition of modern equipment, and the training of instructors in the implementation of new modular programs.

This modernization and renovation mobilized investments exceeding 5 million dinars.

The modernization work also included the renovation of the dormitory, increasing its capacity to 267 trainees. Technical training spaces were equipped with modern equipment similar to that found in high-level hotel units.

Covering a total area of 15,000 square meters, the Center includes 7 theoretical training rooms, 2 computer labs, 2 language learning rooms, and a practical work room, almost entirely dedicated to general training.

In addition, two training kitchens and another room are dedicated to technical training and pastry training, respectively.

It should be noted that 11 additional trainers have joined the Nabeul Tourism Training Center, bringing the total number of trainers to 35. A 35-seater bus has also been acquired and will be used for work-study training and field trips.

The main objective of these measures is to keep pace with the increase in the center's capacity.
