RAMADAN & WORK: Ramadan has little impact on productivity!

This year, Ramadan takes place in the summer: the days are long and accompanied by summer heat...but life goes on, and so does work!

What is the impact of Ramadan on workplace productivity? This is the question we tried to answer through this ReKrute survey, which closely examines the habits of Moroccan professionals* during this month.

The survey showed that Ramadan has little impact on productivity: 54% of respondents say their productivity does not decrease during this month (against 46%). For those who say their productivity decreases, 1/3 consider that this decrease is only 25%, which is relatively low.

Moroccans at work remain indifferent to the season in which Ramadan takes place, but prefer not to take leave during this month.

Moroccans are also increasingly aware of the good habits to adopt during Ramadan: 56% organize themselves so that their important activities take place in the morning and 37% try to eat lightly. However, only 1/3 of them go to bed before 11:30 pm, which can indirectly impact productivity. Moroccans also lack anticipation, as only 15% reduce their coffee/cigarette consumption before Ramadan.

The survey was conducted with 678 Moroccans, mostly young people aged 25-34 (57%), working in a large company (51%, compared to 35% in SMEs and 15% in VSEs). 43% are middle managers, 31% are employees and 21% are managers.
