Over time, as we assert ourselves, we learn to know ourselves better, to respect ourselves, to improve, to become the best, most effective and serene version of ourselves. But this takes time and a lot of patience... Can we imagine some ways to speed up the process, to help ourselves on the rocky path of self-improvement...? Yes, some ideas can help and facilitate this progress.
Here are a few...
1. Walk slowly, but move forward!
Begin the journey with the following 5 questions and try to answer them simply, honestly, without unnecessary modesty, without ridiculous pretension:
1- What are my talents, my strengths, my abilities?
2- What are my human, relational, and professional qualities?
3- What actions bring me particular joy, give me strength?
4- What motivates me?
5. What demotivates me?
Take a piece of paper, a pen, your courage in hand and go for it, dive in!
Question yourself, question your inner voice, the one that seems silent but influences so many of your decisions and choices, also ask others, question them. Their insights will make your task easier.
Don't be afraid to see yourself more beautiful than you are, fear only, and much rather, becoming an ugly duckling, forgetting the swan within you!
2. Dive into the depths!
A few small guidelines will certainly lighten your path, a little arid, of doubt and questioning, of questioning and progress:

2. Dive into the depths!
A few small guidelines will certainly lighten your path, a little arid, of doubt and questioning, of questioning and progress:
- Trust yourself, look at yourself with kindness and take the trouble to see your wishes through to better answer. Try to become aware of the places where you censor yourself, where you castrate yourself, where you are afraid to go, for fear of failure... “One should always aim for the moon, because even in case of failure, one lands among the stars”, wrote Oscar Wilde. This very pretty quote alone sums up the philosophy of personal development through action and for the realization of our objectives. It gives us the reason to dream, to aim high and no longer settle for mediocre things, to have the courage to be and become what we are.
- Work hard, with pleasure, with passion, one step at a time. Work is the key to opportunities: “I believe strongly in luck; and I notice that the more I work, the more luck smiles on me”, calmly stated Thomas Jefferson.
- “Try not to become a man of success. Try to become a man of value”, said Albert Einstein. A quote to put back on the right path those whose only objective is to please. In the context of personal development, I advise practicing the work of improvement to then improve the way others see you. Don't take things the wrong way, don't try to please everyone, at all costs, unless it has a deep meaning for you, a real substance. Improve yourself, slowly, sincerely, honestly, increase your value and you will see that success will come. If you only focus on success, you will forget to solidify and consolidate your foundations and you will not build on sound foundations.
- Get involved, jump, fly into the whirlwind of action! Obstacles are masters of learning, disguised guides. They educate and, contrary to appearances, they elevate. Transform them to transform yourself.
- Cultivate your enthusiasm and optimism, change for joy. Think positive. “A problem without a solution is a problem poorly posed”, Albert Einstein also stated. Reconsider things. Look at them from a new angle. Change your look, your perception to see new things, therefore with new solutions for realization. And, “when everything seems to be going against you, remember that airplanes take off against the wind”, claimed Henry Ford.
- Dream a little about your life before putting things in place and living your dreams. Antoine de Saint-Exupéry wrote that one must “make one’s life a dream, and one’s dream a reality”....!
