Escape the "metro, work, sleep"... extra pounds! "Extra pounds, stress, low morale and energy... Advice from Valérie Orsini, founder of myprivatecoach.com to regain your energy.

A belt that needs a few more holes after five years managing an SME? A widening bottom over the years and pay raises? Low energy while your bank account is growing nicely? You are a victim of the "metro, work, sleep"... extra pounds syndrome. Come and explore the secrets that will lighten you and give you back your energy. You can only congratulate yourself on the results obtained: a lighter person is more dynamic and therefore generally has higher performance than others. So, think of yourself, but also of your team!

- Less stress to lose weight
It's no longer a secret: stress makes you gain weight! Indeed, recent studies have shown that the high level of cortisol secreted by the adrenal glands, in response to high stress, has a direct impact on weight gain. So, to begin, you need to know how to manage the stress generated by our hyperactive lives. Here are a few tips to relieve negative tensions:
- Take micro-naps. Five to ten minutes allows you to regain the energy you sometimes lack and considerably recover your concentration capacity. In your car or on your office chair, nothing simpler!
- Practice "belly breathing". Inflate your belly as you inhale and hollow it as you exhale. This will relax your diaphragm and cause a very relaxing "yawning crisis".
- Apply the Coué method. Repeat phrases that will boost your ego and allow you to move forward in your projects. Think POSITIVE!

- Food: the best fruits and vegetables
Foods with a high glycemic index can have serious consequences on weight gain. Studying this index is therefore important to adapt menus. That is why, and in general, I advise you to avoid as much as possible all foods based on refined starch (bread, pasta, rice, etc.) and replace them with their whole grain versions. Also avoid sweets on an empty stomach, of course! In addition, our diet greatly affects the acid-base balance of our body. However, the pH of your body should be close to that of water.

Indeed, a body that is too acidic tires you, prevents you from losing weight and can even make you gain weight! However, it is a diet rich in fat and sugar (plus stress) that most destabilizes this balance. Remember to eat fruits and vegetables (nine servings a day) and start the day with a squeezed lemon, it is one of the best remedies. Finally, our body assimilates a lot of toxins daily (through food, pesticides, various and varied additives, stress, alcohol, pollution, cigarette smoke, etc.). By eating fruits and vegetables, with their detoxifying power, you will help your body eliminate these toxins: you will feel more fit and full of dynamism.

So here is my Top 10 foods with high detoxifying power: apple, banana, artichoke, watercress, avocado, beetroot, cruciferous vegetables, garlic, grapefruit, prunes. Don't deprive yourself! Before moving on to sport, I share with you the recent results of a study on obesity: it is contagious! The principle is quite simple: when you have people in your entourage who have an unhealthy lifestyle, you tend to imitate them. So, don't let your colleagues set a bad example: from now on, don't be among those who are influenced, but rather among those who influence!

- Sports, even without too much effort
Often, the amount of calories consumed is greater than the number of calories burned during the day: it is this remaining energy that will be stored "in reserve" in the form of fat mass. We must therefore tackle these superfluous calories to restore a balance between the amount consumed and the amount expended.
This will be done, as we have already seen, through adapted eating habits, but also by moving! You say you don't have time to do sports? From now on, these words will no longer be part of your vocabulary. A few tips to integrate into your schedule, without modifying it in any way:
- Get into the habit of walking for 30 minutes on an empty stomach, in the morning on your way to work for example. You thus force your body to draw on its "reserves" to find the necessary energy.
