Salespeople in High Demand

The recruitment market confirms the increasing demand for specialized profiles. According to the latest data published by Rekrute.com on its second anniversary, sales professionals are still in high demand. Furthermore, the latest salary survey by Diorh consulting firm showed the same conclusion. According to the portal, these profiles lead recruitment with 21% of job postings, closely followed by finance and IT professionals representing 11% and 10% of searches, respectively. Human Resources positions represent 6% of job postings, followed by Marketing and General Management positions, each representing 5% of the most sought-after profiles.

By sector, the industry is actively seeking new recruits, given the sector's dynamism. According to data from this operator, the industrial sector posted 29% of job postings in 2007, including 5% for the automotive sector, significantly exceeding other areas of activity. IT comes in second with 10% of job postings, while telecommunications, still expanding, represents 11% of recruitments. Banks and the financial sector follow with 5% of published job postings.

Another trend is that companies are increasingly outsourcing recruitment. This option is more frequently used for some specialized profiles due to their scarcity and the difficulty in reaching them. The portal's figures confirm this: 30% of job postings in 2007 corresponded to profiles with 1 to 3 years of experience, while 55% of postings were for experienced candidates with more than 3 years of experience. Regarding education level, companies are focusing more on profiles with a Bac+5 or higher degree. This trend is confirmed by statistics from the same portal, which show that 47% of job postings since February 2006 concerned profiles with a Bac+5 and higher, and 42% targeted Bac+3/4.

Technical profiles, a rare commodity on the market, are also highly sought after, with 10% of postings targeting Bac+1/2. It is worth remembering that since the launch of the Rekrute.com portal, nearly 4,000 job postings have been published, 95% of which were permanent contracts for more than 15,000 positions offered.
