Economy: Italian donation to Tunisia to boost employment in Tataouine.

Italy has granted a donation of 1.6 million euros (3.6 million dinars) to Tunisia to help achieve local, economic, and social development goals in the Tataouine governorate.

The donation agreement, signed Tuesday morning by Noureddine El Kaabi, Secretary of State at the Ministry of Development and International Cooperation, and Remando De Cartona, Italian Ambassador to Tunisia, at the ministry headquarters, focuses particularly on fighting poverty through job creation in the agri-food sector.

This funding aims to create two projects that will enhance the economic potential of the livestock sector for meat production and milk processing in the Remada region.

Mr. Kaabi welcomed Italy's commitment to supporting the development process in Tunisia and emphasized the importance of this funding, which will create economic momentum in the Tataouine governorate and particularly the Remada region.

For his part, Remando De Cartona reiterated his country's willingness to continue supporting Tunisia so that it can meet many challenges, particularly in regional development and job creation.
