Employment is a top priority for the Tunisian government in 2009. The government aims to meet challenges like the changing structure of job applications and the rising number of university graduates (55% of all applicants).
To tackle these challenges, the entire nation is working together to find new ways to create jobs, train workers, adapt regulations to meet the changing supply and demand of jobs, and improve efficiency.
A National Employment Consultation was launched to help find practical solutions.
The success of this policy depends on the combined efforts of the government, civil society, and businesses.
Here, it is important to highlight the role of some businesses, like Vocalcom. Vocalcom, a provider of contact center technology, not only works in a sector with high employment potential, but also actively promotes job creation.
Vocalcom is a key partner in employment initiatives. They participated in Phone Emploi 2009, the first job fair for call centers.
Phone Emploi 2009 is the first job fair for call centers and BPOs in Tunisia and the Maghreb. It was organized by Tunisia IT, in collaboration with the National Syndicate of Call Centers and Customer Relations, and under the auspices of the Ministry of Communications Technology and the Ministry of Employment and Professional Integration.
