Interview with EMINENCE magazine, 16th edition of the EMI student magazine, by Nathalie Geschwind, Head of HR at ReKrute.com.
1. What are the most sought-after profiles today, in your opinion?
The profiles sought are closely linked to the target audience with internet access today. Unfortunately, since the internet is not yet accessible to everyone, we only work with profiles of executives, managers, and intermediate professionals.
The main trends in demand remain the same: IT professionals, finance professionals, and sales professionals are always in high demand. Then come industrial profiles (production, security, maintenance, etc.) and support functions (project manager, marketing, HR, communication, purchasing, etc.).
2. What advice can you give to an engineer looking for job opportunities?
You have two methods for finding new opportunities: responding to job postings and submitting your CV to a CV database.
In the first case, the candidate takes a proactive approach by deciding who to send their application to. In this case, you must carefully target offers that match your profile and include a cover letter. Recruiters, even online, expect a complete and properly formatted application.
In the second case, you must optimize your visibility on HR search engines. To do this, you must complete your CV so that all keywords are used to increase the chances of being selected by recruiters. Also, you should regularly update your CV because search engines generally show CVs in decreasing order of update date.
And finally, the cover letter. It's no longer handwritten, but it shouldn't be a copy-paste of standard letters, which is unfortunately often the case.
Finally, you must be patient. Even if the web has reduced the time it takes to send and process CVs, the process of finding a new job remains long, several months on average.
3. How can recruitment sites like yours help job seekers?
Recruitment sites have become essential, and no one doubts that today, but you still need to carefully evaluate those that are on the market. The seriousness of a site is demonstrated, on the one hand, by the quantity of online job postings: they must be neither fanciful nor outdated. The quality of the site also depends on the quality of the advertisers, whether they are recruiters on their own account or intermediaries.
To make the most of your recruitment site, it is essential to pay close attention to the development of your CV on the site. This way you appear in its CV database, and you can be viewed and sought after by recruiters. It's up to you to highlight the essential keywords that will be detected by the filtering engine. E-recruitment is a tool at the service of the candidate's professional project and their strategy.
