To become a high-potential individual, you should be mobile, take risks, and be able to mobilize a team around a project.

Be mobile

Is your company offering you a promotion, a position abroad, or the opportunity to explore a different profession? Seize the opportunity.
Internal or external mobility is a decisive factor that will allow you to excel in various situations. Geographic mobility allows you to better understand the international dimension of the activity.

Take risks

Don't refuse a mission simply because the task is too difficult for you. Confronting difficulties is an opportunity to enrich your experiences. These allow you to develop emotional maturity because a high-potential individual must show that they can take a step back to face different situations and manage conflicts.
There is not often a second chance, so never refuse these opportunities.

Highlight your strengths

Don't hesitate to highlight your results and those of your team, especially if they exceed objectives. But be careful not to overdo it. Unless you are an excellent actor, managers are not fooled by behavior. Be honest, consistent, and remain modest. Strong personalities who want to climb too quickly and then leave the company are not very appreciated.

Learn from your superiors

The primary quality of a high-potential individual lies in their ability to learn constantly and from everyone. To progress in the company, it is essential to understand its codes and procedures, and for this, it is possible to follow the example of your direct manager or your N+2.

Try to know yourself better

This is nothing new; no one is perfect, and never will be. You have flaws and qualities that you absolutely must identify. These can be technical, cultural, or behavioral. Regarding your qualities, the priority is to maintain and develop them. As for your flaws, first recognize them. This is the first step to improving.
