Kebili: Adaptation and Integration Contracts for 140 Young Graduates

INFOTUNISIE – 140 young university graduates in the Kebili region have benefited from adaptation and integration contracts in various training and employment programs. These were awarded on Saturday, May 22, 2010, by Mr. Mohamed Agrebi, Minister of Vocational Training and Employment, during a working visit to the region.

17 young executives also benefited. Two agreements were signed at the same time with the regional office of education and family and the section of the Tunisian National Women's Union in Kebili, as part of the voluntary civil service program.

The minister also learned about the activities of the Kebili vocational training and apprenticeship center, which hosts more than 500 young people. He also visited the Telework Center, which houses 4 companies that will generate 150 jobs in the coming period in the field of communication technologies.

Mr. Mohamed Agrebi also visited an Italian exporting company specializing in stone polishing, employing 80 people permanently.

Furthermore, the work of the Regional Council for Training and Employment, chaired by the Minister of Vocational Training and Employment, highlighted the importance of measures related to the overall upgrading of the sector so that it can provide a highly qualified workforce to contribute to strengthening the company's performance and competitiveness.

Indeed, the upgrading of vocational training centers requires, the minister stressed, the promotion of sectors with the objectives of better meeting growing skills needs, and ensuring the qualification and professional advancement of workers.
