No less than 67,000 job seekers, including 9,400 wounded from the revolution and beneficiaries of the general amnesty, were recruited into the civil service over the past three years.
Furthermore, according to statistics from the Ministry of Professional Training and Employment, 1,250 positions were reserved for unemployed people from families where all members are unemployed. This is in addition to receiving 200,000 job applications from different regions of the country and examining about one million files, with an average of five applications per file.
The same data reveals that in 2013, it was decided to regularize, over a five-year period, the situation of beneficiaries of the public works internship program (Mechanism 16).
The situation of all university graduates and four thousand people of different levels who participated in this program will be arranged. A list of 22,000 people concerned by the regularization, including 2,322 university graduates, has been established.
Under Mechanism 16, the bonus awarded to beneficiaries of this program has increased from 120 to 200 dinars per month.
In addition, the procedures and criteria for benefiting from the employment incentive program have been simplified. The age required to participate in this program has been lowered from 28 to 26 years.
Similarly, the criterion relating to the seniority of registration on the list of job seekers has been cancelled to increase the number of beneficiaries of this program, which grants a bonus of 200 dinars per month.
Note that the implementation of this program has been extended to the end of 2014 to ensure better support for young university graduates.
Furthermore, 5,087 people benefited from financing of 5,000 dinars under the national program for financing small businesses. Partnership agreements have also been signed with 400 associations to support young entrepreneurs in carrying out their projects by granting them a bonus of 300 dinars.
The year 2013 was also marked by the launch of the experimental phase of the new program called "Employability Improvement Check", which allows its members to benefit from social coverage and a monthly bonus of 200 dinars for university graduates and 100 dinars for other levels, for a period not exceeding 24 months. 4,000 people should benefit from this program in 2014.
The Ministry of Professional Training and Employment has also engaged in the Smart Tunisia project, under which 50,000 jobs in the field of information and communication technologies will be created over a 5-year period, at a rate of 10,000 jobs per year.
