Love at the office...?

Love, it's true, can happen to anyone, anywhere... But let's hope it doesn't happen at the office...!
Why avoid a romantic relationship in your professional environment?
Because while it's true that a romantic relationship is not simple, that it faces challenges and worries on a daily basis, this is even more so in the context of a company where one is constantly under the scrutiny of everyone and therefore judged. Your slightest actions will be studied, scrutinized, analyzed and commented on.
Thus, gossip, rumors, jokes, jibes, prejudices, jealousy, cruel and unfair judgments, insolent and inappropriate remarks, tricks,... everything will be said. In hushed tones or aloud. Behind you or in front of you. Your romance will become the favorite serial of the coffee break.
And if the love story is experienced with a superior, it will be even worse. You will be accused of being a self-interested man/woman, of "couch promotion", etc... You will be slandered.
Here are the golden rules to follow if, by chance, Cupid decides to strike your chest at work:
- Continue to work with as much enthusiasm and willingness, or even more,
- Don't let passion and its mood swings control your efficiency,
- Don't let yourself be distracted by the other person's presence,
- Set limits, define rules beforehand with your partner,
- Use your relationship to boost your performance,
- Help each other without anxiety and without rivalry,
- Remain dignified, very discreet and not very talkative,
- Don't display your feelings and moods,
- Absolutely avoid displays of affection/love scenes or arguments.
Also consider that in the case of a breakup or/and if the situation becomes unbearable, it could very well lead you to having to resign...
