The National Agency for the Promotion of Employment and Skills (ANAPEC) has precise knowledge of the employment needs of each of the Kingdom's 16 regions, Jamal Rhmani, Minister of Employment and Vocational Training, stressed Monday evening in Marrakech.
This mastery of regional employment needs allows the Agency to intervene through programs, such as "Ta'ahil," to meet the expectations of businesses, consolidate their competitive capacities, and facilitate the integration of young people into the job market, added Mr. Rhmani in a statement to the MAP, on the sidelines of a two-day conference under the theme: "Anticipating and supporting sectors, businesses, and job seekers."
The Minister announced that, thanks to state support, two initiatives aimed at promoting employability have been launched, spanning the 2011-2016 period, with a budget of over two billion DH, noting that these programs will target young people with bachelor's degrees.
Regarding this conference organized by ANAPEC, the Minister emphasized its crucial importance, as it serves as an ideal opportunity to focus on the Moroccan experience and its evaluation in anticipating employment needs, noting that Morocco has been conducting prospective studies on the regional employment market since 2007.
For his part, the Director General of the Mauritanian National Agency for the Promotion of Youth Employment (ANPEJ), Hamoud Ouled Ahmed Ould Abdi, indicated that the signing of a partnership agreement between ANAPEC and ANPEJ is a consecration of the fraternal relations uniting the two countries, noting that this agreement is intended to strengthen cooperation between the two parties and, above all, allow Mauritania to benefit from the Moroccan experience in this area.
As for the representative of the Catholic University of Sedes Sapientiae (Lima) in Peru, Guido Eugenio Mario Maggi, he stressed that the agreement signed between this Peruvian university and ANAPEC is part of efforts to promote South-South cooperation, believing that this partnership is very important as it will allow a real sharing of skills between the African continent and Latin America.
As part of ANAPEC's activities within the World Association of Public Employment Services (WAPES), of which it holds the vice-presidency for the Middle East and Arab countries region, this event brings together members of the association and international experts from several countries.
This conference serves as an opportunity to present and discuss best practices, exchange views on anticipating human resource recruitment needs and supporting sectors and businesses, on the one hand, and job seekers, on the other.
On the agenda of this meeting is a series of round tables on topics related to "strategic monitoring for anticipating human resource recruitment needs," "supporting sectors and businesses," and "supporting job seekers."
Partnership between ANAPEC and the Peruvian University of Sedes Sapientiae
A framework partnership agreement, focusing on promoting cooperation in the transfer of expertise regarding prospective observation of the employment market, was signed Monday evening in Marrakech between the National Agency for the Promotion of Employment (ANAPEC) and the Catholic University of Sedes Sapientiae (Lima) in Peru.
Signed by Hafid Kamal, Director General of ANAPEC, and Guido Eugenio Mario Maggi, coordinator of the agreement for the Catholic University of Sedes Sapientiae (UCSS), this agreement is part of the "ELOISE" project funded by the European Commission's "Social and Human Development" program.
Concluded on the sidelines of a two-day international conference on the theme "Anticipating and supporting sectors, businesses, and job seekers," this agreement aims at inter-institutional cooperation between the signatories to consolidate a strategic alliance of mutual support and to develop and expand the skills acquired within the framework of the "ELOISE" project.
The agreement also aims at exchanging experiences and knowledge with the ambition of setting up an employment market monitoring system, in accordance with the legislation of each party.
