Launch of the Public and Local Government Employment Portal

The public employment portal providing access to information and data related to the recruitment process through competitive examination in the civil service, local authorities and public institutions, was launched on Friday in Rabat, at an information meeting chaired by the head of government and the Minister of Civil Service and Administrative Modernization.
The portal www.emploi-public.ma includes information on the components of salaries in the civil service, the provisions of the general statute of the civil service and special statutes, in addition to a section dedicated to frequently asked questions by future civil service candidates, indicates a statement from the Ministry of Civil Service and Administrative Modernization.
The portal shows 12,201 job openings in the civil service out of a total of 18,355 vacancies for the year 2012, mostly in the national education sector (65%) and for pay scale 10 (8,130 positions).
The website, which aims to uphold the principles of equity, equal opportunities and merit in access to the civil service, as stipulated by Article 31 of the new Constitution, provides candidates with all information relating to the conditions, dates and locations of the examinations and will display the lists of successful candidates, the final results and waiting lists, adds the statement.
The launch of this portal is part of the implementation of the provisions of the decree and the circular of the Head of Government setting out the conditions and procedures for organizing competitions and guaranteeing their transparency.
These two legal texts urge public administrations and local authorities to publish recruitment notices on the public employment website and, if necessary, on the websites of the administrations concerned in order to bring the administration closer to the citizen and improve the quality of services provided within an ethical and transparent framework that adapts to the internal and external environment.
The Ministry of Civil Service and Administrative Modernization will ensure that it develops and increases the level of services offered by this portal to meet the expectations of citizens wishing to access public employment.
This meeting was attended by several ministers, heads of various ministerial departments and the media.
